Everything is bigger in Texas! And that goes for parties as well! This was my first time hiring a party planner, and the process was seamless. I contacted Lisa from The Modern Party Company after seeing some of the amazing parties she’s planned before. I told her our theme, gave her some ideas of what we wanted at the party, and she turned it into reality!

The biggest hit of the party was the custom hat bar! We had sizes for children and adults, and multiple color choices. They also got to choose fun details like hat wraps, feathers, name beads, scarves, etc. I will link everything we used here! (LINK)

Lux’s must-have for this event was the mechanical bull! The kids of all ages loved this! We also rented a bounce house. Both of these were set up outside, and it was nice to have that indoor/outdoor element so kids and adults could spread out a bit.

When I throw a party, the first thing I’m thinking about is food! I love feeding people at events, so making sure we had a great food setup was a priority. We had a fajitas bar with chicken, steak, and all the toppings! Also chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole. We had churros as well, and those were gone within the first 30 minutes of the party!

A detail that was an over-the-top necessity was the mocktail bar! We hired a mixologist to come and serve the cutest strawberry lemonade and honey lavender fizz drinks.

To keep the party vibes going, we had a DJ! He played the best jams, and kept both kids and adults moving to the music the whole afternoon.
